Today in the Japanese Empire, it's time for a return to democracy. As the civilian government is strengthened this will bring them into inevitable conflict with the militaristic factions of Japan, and so when the time is right they will strike first.
Once the light of democracy is burning bright again Japan will return to an old ally, the United Kingdom. Relations haven't been the best in recent times but with Germany on the horizon it might be time to put their differences aside.
