The Sardine Run comes to Okinawa, albeit without the Whales, Sharks, Penguins, Dolphins, and Seals! Each year we get these massive baitballs of sardines close inshore and if I'm lucky I get to see and photograph them. I'd heard there was a baitball at a popular snorkel and dive site so I asked a local freediver of she would like some shots in return for some water time, she said yes, we hit the road.
Was shooting with a 5DSr in an Aquatech Imaging Solutions REFLEX Housing that replaced my previous housing when I got slammed earlier this year on a reef in Okinawa. Hitting waves beyond my pay grade, again! Now on strict instructions from the missue to stop that malarkey. So a bit more soothing.
A few minutes in the company of Susie Delair and half a billion sardines.
