Just a few miles north of Blackpool is Cleveleys.On this stretch of the coastline are a series of sculptures under the title 'The Mythic Coast'
All the sculptures are inspired by a book called The Sea Swallow. The story tells of a cruel sea ogre who stirs uo the sea with a giant paddle, only to be defeated by the hero of the story, Mary, with her golden shell.
Only when the tide is out does the ogre appear...
