Before I finished my cover of Mad World some time ago, I knew I had to cover Gone Away by The Offspring. I was surprised how quickly it came together, and it didn't need much production. Just a piano and a few other instruments and it is finished.

I still remember the first time I heard this song. At the time, I was an audiophile in the making, and had a Pro-logic stereo system. I Want You by Savage Garden was my go-to song to show off my stereos capabilities. It definitely did its job. Often I would turn off the lights, sit in the middle of my apartment bedroom alone and bathe in the glorious sounds of this beautifully mixed song. I hope I did it justice in this cover.
