🌠 Some Dreams Take a Lifetime…

Most works of art are meant to be admired for years. Some monuments last centuries.

But what if you built something designed to connect humanity with the cosmos over tens of thousands of years?

Deep in the New Mexico desert stands Star Axis, an astonishing work of land art by artist Charles Ross. More than 50 years in the making, it invites visitors to experience the movements of the stars, the Earth, and time itself on a truly cosmic scale.

🎙️ In This Episode of Mr. Universe
Radio host Monte Belmonte and astrophysicist Dr. Salman Hameed explore the breathtaking vision behind Star Axis and discuss how art can transform our understanding of astronomy, time, and our place in the universe.

They also turn to another bold creative endeavor: Christopher Nolan's ambitious adaptation of The Odyssey, asking what it takes to bring timeless stories to modern audiences, and why the greatest artistic projects often demand extraordinary ambition.

🌌 Why It Matters:
Astronomy has always inspired humanity's greatest works of art, architecture, and storytelling.

Whether it's an enormous celestial sculpture aligned with the heavens or a filmmaker reimagining one of history's greatest epics, these projects remind us that curiosity and imagination can span generations.

This episode celebrates the power of thinking beyond our own lifetimes—and why the most ambitious ideas often reshape how we see ourselves and the universe.
