The Silica I use myself:

Dosage: When using this for 1000L reservoirs (large quantities of nutrient) it can be uneconomical to use recommended doses, I have found that even in smaller quantities- 75mL per 1000L - which is the rate I’ve been using, this silica still has noticeable effects on yield, plant health and pest resistance (some is better than none).
pH Balancing: I use a ratio of 3:1 potassium silicate 32% to phosphoric acid 85% and this generally brings the pH back down to the starting pH of your water.
This will depend on your water, but it’s a good starting point.
eg: If I use 75mL potassium silicate in my 1000L res, I will balance it back down with 25mL of phosphoric acid 85%.
This works most of the time on my rain water.
