Sorry for the constant use of the word concern, the longer I filmed the more frustrated I became. I was hesitant to film this, but there are some serious issues with this wheel that I wanted to share before the holiday season starts. Bottom line, this wheel has potential, it's just not up to the same standards as Spinolution Firefly.
*note-It took a week, but I did hear from customer service, and I was able to return this wheel.
Quick Summary:
Pros:
non automated winding system option
tension seems to work well
quiet motor while spinning
bobbin leader hook
orifice hook not a hole, so no yarn weight limitations
wheel does spin a variety of different yarn weights
magnet lock bobbin
Cons:
poor build quality/low quality 3-D filament
short power cord
power wired as a kill switch, so you have to keep your foot on the pedal
useless lazy kate positioning
no apparent way to use a separate battery pack
odd location for on/off switch and tension control
poor customer service
terrible vibration while spinning
very difficult to change from pauley winder to the standard arms
no parts list, order form, or instructions (there are a few videos online)
fairly large footprint
