The reopening of the Northumberland Line between Newcastle, through Northumberland Park up to Ashington is opened again, after it closed in 1964, and six new stations are being built.
Mark Ellis from the Northumberland County Council invited me up to ride on one of the test trains on line ( taking place for driver training ) and get a close up look at Newsham - one of the new stations, that is currently under construction.
