I said what I said: Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman, for all it's silliness, nails character development. In fact, I'm convinced that the character work is the reason why the series is so successful: it brings it from a potentially shallow, floor-of-the-week type of story, to a deep one that can stick with you.
