On Tuesday (24 October 2023) The Director-General of The National Library of Australia, Dr Marie-Louise Ayres, delivered an update for researchers.

This update included:
• Our building works program and what it means for collection access over the next couple of years.
• New and refreshed services that should make research easier.
• Implementation of our Indigenous Intellectual and Cultural Property Protocol.
