quick little walkaround this spot in central yharnam to show off the new reshade preset that is *optional* but highly recommended, as i've setup the new baba: gi shader that came out last month and it handles RTAO and RTGI, but in the same shader and handled by the main baba shader. then baba DLTAA is used and then some smart sharpening. Most importantly, the built in anti aliasing and ssao are both disabled. That's key. Between those two, so much detail was lost in the final image, even regardless of resolution for a second.
But the bulk of what you're seeing in this video is literally hundreds of hours of mod work to configure the gparams, create higher resolution shininess maps, alter the reflectance maps, create new heightmaps for pom, enable pom in the models themselves, modify the normal maps to include said heightmaps, and then lastly i will upscale textures if they need it. But most in Bloodborne don't. They're already high enough resolution actually. It's the 1080p default res, plus FXAA and SSAO together that hid a lot of texture detail.
Anywho, official update to the mod coming soon. it's a small one, will include a reworking of the shininess maps in the hunter's dream as i had either overtuned or undertuned a lot of them, so i'm just a lot better at specular maps now i think lol
