For the past couple of months, I have had the honour of shooting this film with the new FX5: the latest addition to Sony’s Cinema Line.
Some of the newest features include:
Open Gate Recording: 5K 3:2 across the full sensor. Every frame in this video can be delivered in 16:9, 9:16 or 4:5 from a single take. One shoot, for every platform.
Three Base ISO: Native 800 / 4000 / 12800. From harsh midday sun to golden hour to near complete darkness, every shot stays clean without fighting noise.
Other features you might be interested in:
• CineAlta style user interface
• New batteries with longer recording
• 3.5” 4-Axis multi-angle monitor
• Internal X-OCN recording, X-OCN LT, C1, C2
• 96 kHz/32bit float audio recording
• 16-bit internal RAW recording
