In this video we test out the first-ever Sea-Doo Switch Pontoon boat. You all know how much I love my Sea-Doo GTX so when Sea-Doo let me try out their new Switch Pontoon boat I didn’t really know what to expect. I was lent the Sea-Doo Switch Cruise model with the 170 engine for a week and all I can say is that I am converted! A modular main deck that lets you change the seating/table layout in seconds, a rear swim platform with a bench and ladder and an audio system, this thing has all the ingredients for a great day out on the water. All it takes is for you to get behind the handlebars, yes handlebars, which by the way are exactly like my Sea Doo GTX and piloting the Switch is just like a big Sea-Doo - ZERO learning curve. The Sea-Doo Switch is not what you typically think of when thinking about a pontoon - it is agile and maneuvers so well, its quicker than I ever would have thought, and it has reverse and brakes!!
