This program is the second chapter in our series "The New Normal," which brings together leaders across Chicago industries to explore the impact of Covid-19 on the Windy City.
In New York, Spain, and Italy, coronavirus swamped hospitals, depleted supplies of vital equipment, and exposed healthcare workers to the ravages of a virus that no one has ever confronted before.
But Chicago’s healthcare industry has largely managed to avoid the worst effects of Covid-19, with a healthy degree of ICU capacity, open beds, and sufficient PPE to go around.
In this special virtual program, we’re bringing together the innovators and decision-makers on Chicago’s frontlines to understand how the Windy City responded to the threat of a global health crisis with such fortitude. Examining the unique partnership of medical professionals and entrepreneurial collaborations, we’re taking a deep dive on the city’s response to the pandemic to understand what went well and what needs to be done in the future to prevent the system from becoming overrun.
