A full review of 2023 debut novel by Tom Crewe, set in 1890s Britain about the debate and activism for legalising homosexuality, which became hijacked and indelibly stamped by the Oscar Wilde court case.

Based on real historical events and personalities, an important work on a subject that doesn't get presented in university history (I know, my degree is in History and though I studied that period, there was not even a mention).

Other book mentioned:
Neil Bartlett "Who Was That Man?"
