Pure Aero 98 review: great specs on paper, but one of the strangest Babolat racquets I've tested.
On paper the specs look incredible. Early reports showed a massive 15.3 strung twistweight, which should make this racquet extremely stable and powerful.
But once I started hitting with it, two things stood out immediately:
• It feels very stiff
• The sweet spot feels surprisingly small
That combination makes the Pure Aero 98 much more demanding than you might expect and honestly a bit confusing within the current Pure Aero lineup.
