When I say that the book is a coffin I mean it's voluminous and heavy. (Not sure the expression translates well from the Italian).
The critical text I recommend early in the video is ST Joshi's I Am Providence, a monumental biography of Lovecraft that I cannot possibly recommend enough to anyone who's enough of a fan to feel like cracking, a, what, 1,400-page tome? about the life of the guy.
Victor LaValle's novel, also mentioned in the video, is titled The Ballad of Black Tom.
