Have our traditional stories mirrored or determined our relationships to Nature and the planet? Is it perhaps built into our very language? With the impending threats to animal species and planet Earth herself, plus the increasing forcing together of man and animals as man consumes their habitats, making it more likely for diseases to jump cross species, we desperately need new approaches to our relationships with flora ad fauna. And does this perhaps begin with how we tell stories and a need for new narrative structures?

A discussion of these ideas in light of my new novel "Stories We Tell Our Children" out July 15th. You can pre-order it here uk.bookshop.org/books/stories-we-tell-our-children/9781912436941and support local and indie bookshops.
