An expedition from New Jersey ALL the way to Las Vegas for the first ever NBA fan convention. The buzz, the excitement, The hoisting, the impending core self collapse, all the big questions loom: Can TNBAST Emio secure autographs from legends like Kareem Abdul-Jabbar or legends for other reasons like Juan Toscano-Anderson? With humor, nostalgia(aka regret) and a touch of suspense(maybe full blown lies..idk at this point) dive into a (hot ass) journey filled with iconic names, from the 1977 Seattle Supersonics to the supersonics from the 90's and the 1977 dunk contest featuring a supersonic ... all the way to Isaiah Hartenstein. Smothered by the condensed air of expectations and humidity of Las Vegas, will TNBAST Emio's convention nightmares collapse into reality or will he completely embarrass himself in uncountable and unknowable ways. Some goal will be accomplished and some goalS wont(?) i guess.

Look, we all forget things. When we forget things we usually embellish our stories a little (hopefully not a lot) to keep people interested. Even if we remember an event and it's not interesting enough then we embellish. Everyone does it. Especially those of us with self-esteem issues. Here are some of my favorite embellishments that I found from NBA stars.
Shawn Kemp - He claims Larry Bird gave him 50 in three quarters The Celtics only played sonics once in the 89-90 season. Bird scored 40 points. Double checked and there's no 50 point game against seattle.
Kyrie Irving - Jose Calderon - He claims Calderon gave him 26 and 14. The only time Jose Calderon scored 26 points was 11/21/2008 against the Nets. Looks like he never scored above 20 against Cleveland. In Irving's first game against Calderon the statline is 15 pts, 6 rebounds, and 11 assists for calderon.Irving says he was 6 and 6 but he had 6 points, 7 assists, 3 rebounds.
Allen Iverson says in his 1996-97 rookie season that 76ers played three games against Suns- He says Kevin Johnson scored 39, 9 and 9 against him but he got 36 pts, 8 ast, 3 rebounds. Still good, but not the same.
Paul Pierce -
This is my favorite one because he prefaces it by saying "I ain't going even going to lie to you" and then the man named "The Truth" says in the 1998-99 season Grant Hill scored 38 points, 15 assists, 12 rebounds which is very specific. But the only games from that season show
-March 12, 1999 - Hill - 33 pts, 8 asts, 8 rebounds
-April 27, 1999 - 32 pts, 2 ast, 4 reb
So The Truth was lying.
Remember, it's okay to say "I don't remember exactly."
