Why does the natural hair community shame people so much?
In this video, I’m giving a different outlook on the natural hair conversation. Instead of just talking about texture hierarchy or product debates, we’re unpacking the culture of shame that has quietly become normalized.
From judging women for straightening their hair…
to criticizing relaxed girls…
to attacking influencers for wearing wigs…
to policing what is “real” natural…
At what point did a movement rooted in freedom turn into another set of rules?
This isn’t a hate video. It’s a critique and a deeper conversation about why the natural hair community can feel so judgmental, who that shaming actually benefits, and whether we’ve recreated the same pressures we once fought against.
