Prepare to be amazed by the new multi-million pound National Plant Phenomics Centre (NPPC) - the future of #agricultural and #horticultural science in the UK.

With its advanced technological scale and capability, the NPPC is a state-of-the-art facility where thousands of plants' physical characteristics are automatically measured on a cyber-industrial scale.

Scientists will use this centre to investigate a wide range of questions about #plant characteristics, including growth rate, water use, and the formation of useful metabolites, and how these parameters are influenced by genes, the environment, and their interplay.

These findings will contribute to solving twenty-first century #foodsecurity security challenges, as well as the need for better and more efficient biofuels, among other projects.

Watch and share this video with credit to BBSRC to discover the impressive potential of the NPPC.
