On a special treat weekend I got to visit a couple of amazing computer museums, both very different places with a lot to see.
I started my weekend trip with a visit to the National Museum of Computing at Bletchley Park. I met up with friends from the Retro Hardware Discord to walk through the different eras of computing on display and take in the exhibits.
A major highlight was watching Colossus being fired up first thing in the morning, alongside seeing and hearing the Harwell Dekatron (the Witch) in operation. I also took a look at the Edsac, Atlas, and many other exhibits, before spending some time trying out the vintage games on an some of my favourite micros.
The volunteers at TNMOC were highly knowledgeable and took the time to explain the history and function of the machines, which made the experience much better.
