Carly wrote and sang the following for my Biology 111A course:

"Oh say can you see, by the microscope's light
What so proudly was found by Watson, Crick, Wilkins and Franklin?
Whose phosphate and sugar groups
With a nitrogen base
Make the nucleotides, which then makes DNA
And the helix's base pairs
The bonds forming in pairs
Gave proof through Photo 51
That the double helix was there.
Oh say does that double helix of DNA yet carry.
In the nucleus of the cell
And is the home of the genes."
