here's a bit about what's going on: (SPOILERS of course!)

Scene 1: Aspenfrost is looking lovingly over her six newborn kits, worried about where her mate, Cryriver, is. She hears pawsteps approaching before he enters the den, covered in fresh wounds from a recent fight. Aspen is taken aback by this and disappointed that he wasn't there for the birth of their kits. He lies, telling her that he was attacked while on patrol- while in reality, he had just returned from trespassing onto Snakeclan territory and killing their healer, Mosspelt, to avenge his brother, Duskdream, who was lured in and killed by a Snakeclan cat. Aspenfrost believes Cryriver, and the pair discuss names for their new kits.

Scene 2: Troutstalk and Sapbrawl have just received word from the Celestial Cats that their leader, Stagstar, is about to make a big mistake. They burst into the clearing to see him only to find that they are too late! Stagstar has sacrificed two of his three remaining lives to resurrect his son, Duskdream. When Duskdream awakens he bears large, bleeding antlers and a mysterious collar. His eyes are blank, and his pelt is mangled with decay. His eyes blank, he seems not to hear the words of his father or the other terrified cats before stumbling off into the woods.
