A start to finish styled process video showing me create an art journal spread for Nathalie's Creative Squad. This month the theme is "Lost in a Book". I chose a children's story book and bought a copy of it in a bit poor shape just to be used in crafting.
I start the page by choosing the focal point out of the illustrations in the book. They are by Rudolf Koivu. I then make a sheet of collage material following the same color scheme as in the illustration. I use Infusions to add the first layer of color and then add acrylic paint on top through a stencil. I cut the sheet into tiles and add them as well as the illustrations on top of two pages torn from the book. I finish the page with some text stickers and splashes.
