Rob “Problak” Gibbs and Rob Stull, artists-in-residence at the MFA, live and breathe hip-hop. Watch the trailer for "Co-Sign," a documentary created by Beyond MEASURE Productions that captures the artists' insights into creative expression in the street art community, their influences and artistic beginnings, and the core mission of graffiti art. Gibbs and Stull collaborated with local youth for “The Mural Project,” a multipart venture with the MFA inspired by the exhibition “Writing the Future: Basquiat and the Hip-Hop Generation.”
Beyond MEASURE Productions is a Boston-based, diasporic-owned filmmaking company dedicated to showcasing the human experience in its fullness and breadth.
The Community Mural Initiative is supported by the Carl and Ruth Shapiro Family Foundation and The Boston Foundation. Sponsored by Converse. Additional support from the Darwin Cordoba Fund, the Museum Council Artist in Residency Fund, the Museum Council Community Mural Fund, and Robert and Pamela Adams. This program is supported in part by the Transformative Public Art grant from the City of Boston Mayor’s Office of Arts and Culture.
