The Multiple Kill Vehicle – America’s Forgotten Kinetic Interceptor
In the shadow of Cold War missile defence programs and the famed Strategic Defense Initiative, a lesser-known but ambitious program quietly advanced through the late 1990s and early 2000s: the Multiple Kill Vehicle (MKV). Designed to counter multiple incoming warheads with a single interceptor launch, this system was among the most complex kinetic energy weapons ever conceived.
