When an airline buys a Boeing 737 or an Airbus A350, the engine comes standard. But when an airline buys the revolutionary Boeing 787 Dreamliner, they have to make a choice: Do you want it powered by General Electric (GEnx) or Rolls-Royce (Trent 1000)? In 2004, All Nippon Airways (ANA) became the global launch customer for the 787.
