I took backpacking to the next level on this trip by committing to eat nothing but MREs (Meals Ready-to-Eat) the entire time. No fresh food, no trail snacks—just military-style rations from start to finish.
From the moment I hit the trail, every meal became an experience. Heating up entrees in the field, taste-testing different menus, and figuring out which ones actually hit the spot after a long day of hiking—it was all part of the challenge. Some meals surprised me… others, not so much.
