Ive often referred to the Burning Ship as the Mandelbrots ugly cousin, but it now seems that she just wasnt dressed for the ball. This video uses is a customised colouring technique that brings out the detail in shapes. The Burning Ship is a fractal full of architectural shapes, harsh edges, and islands. I really like the result, what do you think? Please hit subscribe. The Burning Ship fractal is made with the equation z = abs(z)² + c. Adding the absolute value function means that it is no longer analytic, and it is not a continuous fractal. It has islands and cut edges.
