Master Sword was formed in Maryland in 2013 with the goal of writing original music that draws heavily from 70s/80s progressive rock and heavy metal, with Zelda-inspired lyrics and melodies woven fluidly throughout. The influence of Koji Kondo shines through Master Swords top-tier musicians with influences from classic bands such as Deep Purple, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Judas Priest, Dream Theater, Megadeth, Rainbow, Opeth, Porcupine Tree, and Helloween.
