Today we’re testing out the Eastwood 8" Heavy-Duty 1HP Bench Grinder to see what it’s really capable of. It’s got an 8" grinding wheel for heavy-duty work and a wire wheel for cleanup, powered by a 1HP motor spinning at 3450 RPM. So far, it seems to handle some tough metal without too much effort. The adjustable rests and easy wheel changes are a nice touch, but we’re going to see how it holds up with extended use.
We also hooked up the Eastwood Versa-Grind Belt Grinder Attachment. It’s supposed to turn the grinder into a full-on belt and disc sander, with tool-less adjustments and quick-change belts. We’ll see if it really brings enough to the table to make the upgrade worth it!
