Advent is the four weeks before Christmas meant to ready our hearts for the coming of Christ at Christmas.

The circular arrangement is meant to symbolize eternity and Christ’s never ending love for us. It is also usually made of evergreen branches.

One candle is lit in this order on each Sunday leading up to Christmas. These have significance in our prayer as we prepare for Christ.

1st purple - hope
2nd purple - peace
3rd pink - joy
4th purple - love
Christmas white - completion and victory
