This is the most powerful verse in the Bible on eternal security! John 5:24 explains eternal security of the believer in the present tense, future tense, and perfect (past) tense. While some theologies teach you can't know if you have eternal life until you take your final breath, and others say you can only know so long as you are walking obediently to God's word, the Bible declares that eternal life is given at the moment of belief, not the moment of "continual belief". There is a stark difference, the former relies on grace while the latter relies upon works. Can we just let the Bible speak for itself without inserting words and philosophies?
