HILARIOUS SCANDINAVIAN COOKING! In this video we are by a Norwegian fjord preparing the Norwegians favorite summer food. You only need 3 ingredients. One of them is almost fresh and slimy insects from the sea. Another is creamy and luxurious and the third is a sticky secret – that will make the dish pop. This simple plate puts you right in the lovely summer mood. It’s also a very smelly meal, with a stench that will stay on you for hours after eating.
Norwegian in general are found of prefabricated food, but this is an exception. Here we will cook from scratch. So, patience is very important. We will do a lot of peeling and contemplating.
This hysterical and quite quirky cooking video was recorded on a beautiful summer day in Oslo, the capital of Norway. But Ronald, the cook, seems to be the only one to appreciate it, dressed in shorts and sunglasses, while everybody around have their warm rain clothes on.
You will learn the whole recipe and all the tricks that make this taste good. Ronald will explain, with the help from a critical and skeptical Mads, all the steps. And at the end he will show you how to eat it. He tries to avoid making a mess, but he can't do it. The food will stick to his nose and the eating noises might feel a bit gulping.
You will also learn a lot about life in Norway, it’s culture, it’s people and way of life through the conversation between Ronald and Mads. They will talk about how this dish make Norwegians relax, open up, becoming social and start talking to each other. You will also learn what the favorite conversation topic in Norway is.
This video is perfect if you want to travel to Norway and need some real insights and inspiration on what to do and eat in this country. It’s also a video for all you foodies out there, looking for a unique and trendy new dish from the Nordic cuisine. If you are a foreigner living, working or studying in Norway – making this dish and inviting friends over will make you more accepted and loved by Norwegians. If you have Norwegian DNA and are craving for some heritage and connection with your motherland, this meal will give it to you!
