Sonic CD is a really strange game. For years, it was elusive, legendary, and mythical. Releasing on hardware that never caught on meant for many people it was this "lost" classic 2D Sonic game they might never get to play. It was revered and held in high regard as something you simply had to get your hands on if you were a true fan.
Times have changed, and you can get a copy of Sonic CD easily and cheaply on Steam now, but does the game still hold up once that sense of mysticism and wonder have been removed?
