It's unbelievable that this used to be a highway in Iceland but the road was used from 1966-1991 or until we got new road tunnels trough the northernmost part of the mountain. I had wanted to do this video for some time because I used to drive this road, and I wanted to know the status of it, like if it's possible to hike up to a wonderful viewing spot by the north end where we getI know fantastic view to north. west and east.
