There's a lot to say about this level. Tried it when it first got rated because of the peak song, and thought it was one of the best levels at first, then as I learned backwards I started thinking that it was one of the worst levels, and now that I've beaten it I'm somewhere in between. Not one of the worst, but not one of the best either.
I have a lot of attempts because I kept playing it for short periods and then dropping it over and over. 23% was my best since 4/28/26 and you can tell that I barely played from 0.
The biggest problem with this level is 0-40. Let's break down the gameplay:
-(0-4): Has awkward timings but it's at the beginning so it's fine
-(5-9): Very easy gameplay and song starts to get hype here
-(10-15): This is the first problematic part. Very awkward ufo and ship sections and camera movement, with the black orb at 14% being very poorly made as if you're not positioned almost perfectly you will die in the transition. You can tell the creator put teleporters to try to fix it but it's a very buggy transition.
-(16-20): Weird start to the ball as the objects move but the spikes are fixed so sometimes you die in the gab before the green orb. The spider at 19% is also too spammy imo and doesn't sync to the song.
-(21-29): The teleporters and green orb timings can be very on and off. Same thing with the slope gameplay timings later on.
-(30- 41): The dual was the bane of my existence. It's what tilted me the most when learning this level. Now I did get good at it by the end but it's an extremely precise part that doesn't work as you first expect it to. The idea is to do a lot of precise buffers. You first look at the cube and hold till it jumps on the slope and then instantly buffer the dash orb as soon asap. The red orbs need to be timed properly after, on the early side, and then hold again as soon as you do the red orb timing so the next green orb with the ball above won't kill you. Once you're past that the dual becomes way easier, but the beginning of it is absolutely criminal.
Lastly I just wanna say that the ship transition at 38 was a bit annoying because it was different every time based on how you hit the orb and you had a tight gap right at the beginning, as well as having to press down again at 39 right before the yellow orb.
-(42-50): This is your break part. Pretty chill but I gotta say that putting deco of trees in front of my face during the ball gameplay was not a good move. It's not that hard but it feels like a very cheap way to add dificulty.
-(51-57): The last big chokepoint part. Found the ships to be quite difficult, especially the last one. If you're ship carried you won't have a problem though.
-(58-65): Once you pass the reverse portal at 58 you pretty much have a chance to fluke it. Other than that yellow portal, the level gets really good from here on out.
-(66-74): Good part. I died to it from 0 but it was honestly on me.
-(74-81): Ship can be a bit scary from 0 but the gameplay here is well made.
-(82-88): Still a few timings here and there that you gotta make sure you learn properly but it's good.
-(89-100): Again, as with most of the gameplay in the second half, it's well made. Nothing cheap, but it is full of timings so it's a skill test all the way up to the last spike, which is free (very nice of the creators to make the last spike easy so ty for that).
By the end I got consistent and didn't get that many fails in the second half but getting to that point of consistency was tilting at times not gonna lie. I mean it got so bad that I felt the need to drop it over and over, but there's just something to finishing your uncompleted levels that you have significant progress on.
If the first 40% was better made, this could've been one of the best levels, as the raw gameplay is there, the song is peak, and the deco is nice, but as it stands I probably wouldn't recommend it unless you have a lot of patience and are ready for a very first half carried level, because you're gonna be spending a lot of time there.
Hopefully I wasn't too offensive in my criticism, as that was not the intention.
I also haven't seen anyone beat this yet but there's no way I'm first victor to a level that's been out for this long. Could be possible though. This is my 300th rated extreme so that's nice. Completed on 9/1/26
