Hi there everyone, and thanks for joining me today. Those of us that are looking for promotions out there, when you’re looking to excel in your career. One of the things that is always mentioned is that people that go the extra mile are the ones that get ahead. And that’s great that on your last project you went the extra mile and you really nailed it. But what’s just as important is that you go the extra mile and you nail your career and your own personal development. Going the extra mile on the job is fantastic, but you need to go the extra mile in your personal development too if you really want to excel in your career and see it go on fast forward, as opposed to regular play, or half speed. So what you want to do is ask yourself, “What books am I reading on the weekend? What magazines am I taking a look at? What websites am I visiting? What am I feeding my brain on a regular basis?” If you’re not going the extra mile to better yourself outside of work, towards your career, then you’re going to be limiting your prospects down the road. So I encourage you, when you talk about going the extra mile, yes, do so on your job, that’s absolutely a requirement, but you need to go the extra mile in your career, it is one of the best things that you can do for your own development. Thanks so much everyone, have a great day.
