In this installment of From the Frontlines, The Miseducation of CRT: Tracking the Attacks on Critical Race Theory and Antiracist Education, panelists discussed a new report produced by CRT Forward, an initiative of the Critical Race Studies Program, which details the first two years of the campaign against CRT. It has now been more than two years of a coordinated political attack on Critical Race Theory, and the campaign shows no signs of slowing. Across the ideological spectrum, over 600 federal, state, and local measures banning "CRT" and antiracist instruction have targeted public schools, higher education institutions and government agencies. How pervasive are these laws, and how have they remained in the spotlight for so long? For attorneys and activists, what is the path forward to resist these anti-antiracism efforts? Panelists discussed those questions with Professors LaToya Baldwin Clark and Cheryl Harris, as well as ACLU attorney Emerson Sykes and Dean of Columbia Journalism School Jelani Cobb.
