Thanks to Uncle Mike Lipskin for recording these and thanks to Robert Pinsker for passing them along.
These were some random tapes that Mike made of Willie The Lion Smith, one of the last living OG stride greats out of NYC. Among photos of the Lion are two with young Mike. Mike always expresses the love they shared and I am thankful to be able to experience somewhat similar with myself and Mike, now that I am the young pup and Mike is the Seasoned veteran stride pianist. I am eternally grateful for his friendship and guiding tips for anything in life from music to children to health to automobiles. Thanks for being my Lion!
