The Mercedes-Euklid model 29 is a mechanical calculator made in (East) Germany from 1934 until about 1953. The first Mercedes Euklid models were made in around 1910, using a mechanism invented by Christel Hamann. In 1934 all their models were replaced by completely redesigned new series of models. Of these, model 29 was the only manually driven one. All the others were electric, and had more features such as automatic multiplication or an extra storage register.
