RadioRaider | The Men Who Killed Kennedy - Ep. 7 - The Smoking Guns 2003 - 9-Part Documentary Series @radioraider8902 | Uploaded March 2019 | Updated October 2024, 1 hour ago.
This is part 7 of a 9-part documentary series called #TheMenWhoKilledKennedy. The first 2 parts aired in 1988 and were created by a British television network called ITV. These original episodes were edited down to 3 and broadcast in the U.S. after rights to the episodes were bought by Arts & Entertainment Company.
The next 3 episodes were added in 1995 and the rights were held and it aired on both ITV and in the U.S.
Finally in 2003, the final 3 episodes were created by the History Channel and met with much controversy, especially the last on which implicated Lyndon B. Johnson as a possible perpetrator.
Episode 7 explores the changes in Secret Service protocol that tool place in Dallas on November, 22, 1963. This was strange given the number of threats on the President's live that had been received prior to his visit to Dallas. This episode lays heavy blame on the Secret Service, and in light of more recent documentaries, this is interesting. The Men Who Killed Kennedy was ahead of its time.
