The Memory Instrument turns images into playable instruments. Select any visual area with an eyedropper or bounding box and the system generates a unique timbre — navigating a rich audio embedding space to translate what you see into sound you can play. Your favourite images become your instrument.

Built at the Music Hackspace Boston Hackathon 2026 by Eitan Wolf, The Memory Instrument uses Google DeepMind and Stability AI to explore the space where visual memory and musical timbre collide.
