My favorite band of all time has to be Smashing Pumpkins. The double album, "Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness" holds a lot of memories for me as a teen. I learned a lot through those short years and I had the pumpkins playing almost all the time!
The wood used is Bocote and Hard Maple with a bit of Purpleheart in the center. Fun knob to make!
