Overview
The Masked Rider is a Japanese super hero, a man who has become genetically altered to be a man/grasshopper who rides a motorcycle.
This FMV game adapts scenes from the movie Masked Rider ZO, and creates a Dragon's Lair style experience. The game centers around 10 battles of the film's 3 main characters.
The player watches the video and hits the correct direction or button at the right time to achieve success. The visual cues of the movie suggest the correct buttons. For example, when the Masked Rider punches, the player should press the Punch button. If he dodges left on screen, the player should press the left direction pad. Correct timing hits the enemy harder, lowering their health bar. Failure reduces the players health.
Character Overview
Masaru Aso
The assistant to Dr. Mochizuki until the doctor conducted experiments on him. Horrified at being made into a grasshopper-like cyborg, Masaru went into hiding in the mountains, but fell asleep for four years until he awoke with an unconscious urge to protect Hiroshi. Able to transform into Neonoid #1 a mutant that partially incorporates the grasshopper gene and machine called ZO, who would be later called Kamen Rider ZO
Hiroshi Mochizuki
The son of Dr. Mochizuki, is one of the main characters in Kamen Rider ZO.
Seikichi Mochizuk
The grandfather of Hiroshi Mochizuki and the father of Dr. Mochizuki. A scientist like his son. he took care of his grandson after His Sons disappearance.
Dr. Mochizuki
A scientist and the father of Hiroshi Mochizuki who created Kamen Rider ZO and Neonoid. Wanting to create the "perfect lifeform" but failed as Neonoid desired to become a god thanks to his conditioning and attacked his son Hiroshi in order to force his hand into freeing him.
The Neonoid
Created by Dr. Mochizuki in his attempt to create a "perfect lifeform", with Masaru Aso (Kamen Rider ZO) serving as its prototype. Initially non-violent, As the Neonoid grew older and learnt human speech however, Dr. Mochizuki taught it to view human emotions as worthless, giving it a god complex in the process, Becoming more and more twisted.
