Join Artist in Residence The Mash-Up Americans as they transform The Greene Space into the bookstore of their dreams to host The Mash-Up Americans Book Festival featuring guests Jeff Chang, Adam Gidwitz, Eric Kim, Vashti Harrison, Jacqueline Woodson, and Julia Stiles.
Come mingle, sip cocktails, shop for gifts, and listen as Amy and Rebecca interview the authors, highlight the legend of Claudia Kishi, dissect the ur-texts of Mash-Up America, and remind us all that the stories we tell ourselves, about ourselves, give us the foundation for the future we create together.
SCHEDULE
4PM–6PM (free RSVP): Book store popup featuring a storytelling of Herschel and The Hanukkah Goblin with Adam Gidwitz, an interactive reading with Vashti Harrison, and a discussion with Eric Kim
7PM–8:30PM (ticketed): Readings and discussions with Jeff Chang, Julia Stiles, and Jacqueline Woodson
The bookstore includes a Mash-Up American curated selection of books courtesy of the NYU Bookstore, crystal jewelry and decor by Sol Proaño, paper goods & greeting cards by My Darlin’, and candles by Washa Candles.
