Here’s how students in India took down a BJP minister.
Abhijeet Dipke started the Cockroach Janta Party Instagram as a parody, but the movement culminated into mass demonstrations over the past two months.
Students and young people from all different backgrounds came together to demand the resignation of BJP Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan after it was revealed that a notoriously difficult medical entrance exam had been leaked.
Over 2 million students were told that their exam results would be voided and they would be forced to take it again.
The CJP says at least 21 students died by suicide as a result.
