Sophia the Robot, our latest and most advanced robot, is a social humanoid robot that also serves as an AI and robotics research platform. Sophia’s custom robotic leg design began in 2017 by the Rainbow Robotics Lab at the University of Las Vegas in partnership with the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) and debuted at CES 2018.
