I made this light with a spring clamp to make camping or working on the car a bit easier at night. It couldn't get much simpler, it works good, is not too flimsy, and can be just stored in the car, always ready. The main reason was to have an easy-to-set-up light for finding or setting up camp after dark. There never seems to be enough light 45 degrees out from the car when looking for a campsite at night.
